About the Dog:

"The Perro Fino Colombiano is a rare breed of scenthound that developed in Colombia from dogs that were imported to the South American continent starting around the time that it was first colonized by European countries. While their tracking prowess made them very popular with both the upper and lower classes for quite some time, the overall population of these hunting hounds began diminishing when hunting laws in the country became more restrictive. They are energetic hound dogs who make good hunting buddies as well as entertaining family companions but are typically too friendly to make good guard dogs and too active and noisy to do well in apartments."
